Oh my GOD this page took forever :despair: I wanted to do some more stuff with this page, dp1nk and I were talking about adding some muuuusic to it. But I'm gonna be gone until June on a vacation so it's basically now or two weeks from now. I choose now!
May be thinking too hard about it but I wanted to establish why the hell Aleks has money problems if he can print money. It takes foreeeeverrr on top of being a risk.
Thank you very much for the comments on my style :D
IT LOOKS GREAT!! with or without lyrics. i still hear music when i read it, but mostly cuz i heard the potential music already. just put the song in "ikon: the comic soundtrack"
this is my son btw, i adopted him and i'm very proudt of him making his fake money.
I've helped a friend with her prints one day and well that was a trip. That machine was not greased and the idea of tearing my ears off was looking very nice.
Working all night long, and yet it still looks like Aleks has a small smile of satisfaction for a job well done in that last frame. I wonder how long it takes him to make one sheet of counterfeit bills?
I love all the colors on this page and the background transition from night to early morning. Your composition never ceases to impress me, particularly since you usually sift the flow of panels in subtle ways without harming the storytelling, but enhancing the overall mood of each page. When I had a sequential art class the instructor said not to break from the basic format unless you were more experienced, and I saw a few examples of what did and did not work when other students didn't follow instructions, so I can say with confidence that you learned that lesson already. :)
Hope you have a great vacation, MissElaney! And don't stress over the flights, you're safer in the air than you are on the ground, statistically speaking, but more importantly, have a little faith in those who have trained themselves to shepherd you from one airport to the next. I'm afraid of heights myself, but the only times I've been on a plane I've enjoyed sitting by the window and watching the scenery go by simply because I know that what happens in the air is beyond my control. Sometimes you just have to trust that everything will be all right. :)
